How we make money
Updated
Disclosure
Points Clear may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. It never changes the verdict or the order.
Where the money would come from
Traffic school and defensive driving providers run affiliate programs. When you buy a course after following one of our links, the provider may pay us a commission. You pay the same price.
Until a provider's program approves Points Clear, its links go to the provider's own page for your state, without a tracking code, and earn nothing.
The providers we link, and what each link earns today
| Provider | States with a link | Earns a commission today |
|---|---|---|
| Aceable | California, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Washington | No |
| Best Online Traffic School | California | No |
| DefensiveDriving.com | New Jersey, Texas | No |
| DriversEd.com | California, Delaware, Michigan, Texas | No |
Provider links start with /go/, an address on our own domain. When a program approves the site, we switch that one address and nothing else on the page changes.
What a commission never changes
- The answer. It follows the published rule and the details you enter.
- Which providers appear. A provider shows for a state when it offers a course there, with what the state's own list confirms next to it.
- The order. Providers appear in alphabetical order.
Answers that never show a course
Insurance only and Not eligible answers carry no provider link, and neither does an answer that says to speak to a lawyer. No lawyer or ticket-fighting service pays Points Clear.
