Colorado has no statewide course that dismisses a ticket today. A 2024 law creates a points waiver for drivers who finish a DMV-approved driving improvement course, but it starts only when the DMV adopts its rules or on January 1, 2027, whichever is first, and those rules will set how many points and how often. Courts may also order a driver improvement school as part of a sentence. Paying a penalty assessment on time lowers the points by law. CDL holders are excluded from the waiver.
