Utah's Deferred Traffic Prosecution runs online through MyCase. Within 21 days of the citation the program asks for a no contest plea and the fine plus a $5 fee, and a $40 online traffic school within 28 days if your record calls for it. Stay conviction-free for one year and the charge is dismissed. You must be 21 or older with a Utah license, no CDL. Speeding 20 to 30 mph over needs the traffic school route. Separately, a court may offer a plea in abeyance, and the Driver License Division lets a defensive driving course remove up to 50 points once every three years.
