Illinois traffic school and court supervision rules
In Illinois some circuit courts dismiss a charge under court supervision with a traffic safety program, after a written guilty plea. It applies up to 25 mph over.
Rules checked
Illinois has no single statewide traffic school. In counties the state court leadership has designated, a circuit court may let you plead guilty in writing, pay the set assessment and finish a court approved traffic safety program under court supervision. If you meet the conditions, the court dismisses the charge and it is not a conviction. Each county decides whether it offers this, the deadline, the course and its fee, so check the citation or the circuit clerk. Offenses that need a court appearance, such as a crash with injury, are not handled this way.
