Michigan BDIC traffic school rules
In Michigan the Basic Driver Improvement Course puts a ticket on your record without points, hidden from insurers. It applies up to 15 mph over.
Rules checked
In Michigan the Department of State, not the court, decides who may take the Basic Driver Improvement Course and mails a letter to eligible drivers. You then have 60 days from that notice to finish a course of at least 4 hours with an approved sponsor, online or in a classroom. If you pass, the ticket goes on your record without points and is not shown to insurers. You still pay the fine and court costs. You can pass it only once in your life, and you need a valid non-commercial Michigan license and no more than 2 points at the time of the ticket.
