Minnesota traffic school rules
Minnesota has no course program for tickets, so a course dismisses nothing and takes no points off. A voluntary course may lower your insurance premium, and your insurer decides.
Rules checked
Minnesota has no state traffic school that dismisses a ticket or removes points, and it does not use a point system. Insurers must give drivers 55 and older a premium reduction of at least 10 percent after a 4 hour state approved accident prevention course, renewed every 3 years. In some counties a hearing officer may offer options such as a continuance for dismissal with prosecution costs, or a driving class in place of the fine. That is a local court decision, not a state program.
