Ohio remedial driving course rules
In Ohio a remedial driving course earns a 2 point credit; the ticket stays. It applies once every 3 years.
Rules checked
Ohio has no state course that dismisses a ticket. If you have at least 2 and fewer than 12 points, you can finish a state approved remedial driving course and apply to the BMV for a 2 point credit. The BMV approves one credit in any 3 year period and five in a lifetime. A course a judge orders you to take earns no credit. Approved courses may be in person, partly online or fully remote. Any local court diversion program is separate and set by that court.
